City decides to topple sick pine in Henderson Park

A sickly pine tree in Albany’s Henderson Park is scheduled for removal, while a cedar tree also in poor health will remain against the recommendation of two arborists.

Arborist John Good of J.B. Good Inc. told the city both trees were a hazard and should be toppled. Vernon Esplin, a certified arborist with Buena Vista Arbor Care Co., agreed with Good’s assessment.
